Dublin - July 2012

Rod Davis appeared at the Temple Bar Beatlefest in Dublin on Friday 13 July. On stage with him accompanying him on guitar was Phil McQuillan who played John Lennon in the film “Young Lennon”. A great time was had by all - and a great deal of Guinness was had by all - especially at the Wrap Party on the Sunday evening in the Merchant’s Arch. The whole of the Temple Bar quarter of Dublin was stuffed with people all throbbing to the music. Thanks to Stevie Carroll for a fantastic weekend.

Hamburg - April 2012

On Friday 13 April 2012 the Quarrymen appeared in Hamburg at Grosse Freiheit 36 in a fantastic concert to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Star Club! Horst Fascher himself was of course there together with loads of other fantastic groups who appeared in Grosse Freiheit 36 and in the Kaiserkeller. And we launched our new “Grey Album!” And... we were joined by guest bass player Bobby Thompson of Kingsize Taylor & the Dominoes fame!

Bands on the bill included -  The Pete Best Band, Mike Pender’s Searchers, Jimmy & The Rackets, Lee Curtis and Bonds, The Undertakers, The Mojos, The Rockhouse Brothers, Ticket to Ride and Ian’s Zodiacs!
